Salbutamol sulfate

Indications/Uses

Bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, bronchiectasis.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Syr Adult & childn >14 yr 5-15 mL tds-qds. Childn 6-14 yr 5 mL tds-qds, 2-6 yr 2.5-5 mL tds-qds. IM/SC inj 1 mL. IV infusion Inj at rate: 3-20 mcg/min.

Administration

Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals.

Special Precautions

HTN, myocardial insufficiency, thyrotoxicosis, DM, hyperthyroidism. Pregnancy & lactation.

Adverse Reactions

Fine tremor, nervousness, palpitations, drowsiness, muscle cramps or twitching.
